So you're ready to buy your engagement ring, have come onto our site and instantly thought, AHHH! There's so many! Which one do you choose? Which diamond shape do you need? What quality? Which Metal? Don't panic were here to help!
Buying a diamond engagement ring can be tricky, however with this guide we hope to make it a pleasurable experience.
Before we get started with diamonds the first thing to decide is what metal do you think she would like the ring in?
The choices are:
- Platinum (white metal)
- 18ct Yellow Gold (yellow metal)
- 18ct White Gold (white metal)
- Palladium (white metal)

The best way to figure out which metal is right for her is to take a quick look at what jewellery she wears now. Does she have quite a bit of yellow? Or mainly white? Or both?
While you're sneaking a look at her jewellery it's also a good idea to see what sort of jewellery she wears. Is it quite modern looking with just a single diamond? Does she wear more antique style jewellery? So something with lots of little stones surrounded by one main stone.
This can just help you get a picture in your mind for the sort of ring you're looking for.
